If you’re looking for a unique workout experience in NYC, this one is worth checking out.

Whether you’re an avid Peloton user or not, if you enjoy working out and trying new things, I highly recommend taking a class at Peloton Studios NYC. Assuming it would be your first time there, I also recommend a ride class. After all, the bike is and will always be the OG.

For roughly $36, you get the whole Peloton experience: access to Peloton Studios in Hudson Yards, a fun group workout alongside people from around the world, plus a photo op with the instructor after class.

If that sounds like a good enough time, sign up for a class at studio.onepeloton.com. There’s a 100% chance the class is already full, but that’s OK. Join the class waitlist if the option is available. If you’re bumped up, you’ll receive an email at least 12 hours before class time and will have two hours to confirm your spot. *Two of the three times I’ve joined a waitlist, I got bumped up.

Once officially enrolled, you’ll receive an email with all the info you need to successfully take your first class. You’ll be asked to arrive at Peloton Studios 45–60 minutes ahead of time to check in, receive a wristband and color card (silver, red, white or black—which designate studio entry order), grab a pair of cycling shoes (if you’re taking a ride class) and get ready to work out.

The entire experience is impressively well-orchestrated, which is essential for a live production. From check-in to the prompt follow-up email with photos of you and the instructor, every detail is executed seamlessly.

A few tips from a 4x Peloton Studios crasher:

If you want to be on camera during class, line up quickly in your assigned color line and snag a bike in the front-row corner area. If you’re camera shy, don’t worry — there are plenty of places to hide.

Surprisingly, you can bring your phone into the class studio with you and take pics and videos up until you go live. At that point, it’s time to put the phone away, lock in and enjoy the workout experience.

Bring a water bottle or two and take advantage of the complimentary toiletries in the restroom! The handwash and lotion are first class.
