The Abs Hypertrophy course is designed for trainers and advanced trainees seeking the most effective, evidence-based methods for optimizing abdominal muscle growth, focusing specifically on the rectus abdominis and the external and internal obliques (collectively referred to as the “abs” herein).
The course begins with a brief review of skeletal muscle contraction types and ab anatomy, followed by multiple lessons covering the key variables involved in hypertrophy training, including exercise selection, intensity, volume and frequency. After the discourse, an exercise menu and sample workouts are provided with links to video demonstrations of select ab exercises. Participants will need access to an AbMat, dumbbells and a cable machine to perform the included exercises, though modifications can be made.
Upon completing the course, participants will come away with a well-rounded understanding of how to optimize their training for muscle growth, along with an arsenal of new and effective ab exercises.
