Description

The Abs Hypertrophy course is designed for trainers and trainees who have a good baseline of whole-body strength, control and mobility, want to build additional abdominal muscle mass and strength and do so through the most effective ways possible.


The course will teach participants what the anterolateral abdominal muscles are and how they function and what exercises to perform to best stimulate their growth.


For the purpose of this course, only three anterolateral abdominal muscles, the rectus abdominis and external and internal obliques (hereafter referred to as the “abs”), will be discussed. Therefore, it’s important that participants have a good understanding of the deeper abdominal and core muscles and know how to properly brace and breathe through the movements prescribed in the course.


Participants will need access to a decline bench, an adjustable cable machine, resistance bands or straps and — if they really want to see results — a reliable training partner for 2-person exercises. These tools can be easily found in most gyms. If a training partner is not available, other exercise options are included to accommodate.


At the end of the course, participants should be proficient in performing all programmed exercises and feel confident in continuing and progressing their abs training as needed to achieve their desired results.
